You're pregnant! Congratulations! Now the real fun begins.
Being pregnant is one of those amazing, stressful, beautiful, and exhausting parts of being a woman that gets really hyped up, both for the good and for the bad.
Being pregnant is truly a one of a kind experience. You’re building a baby! A real, live human being. The things that a woman’s body can do are just absolutely amazing.
That being said, building a baby is hard. Like really hard.
If you’re anything like me, you may find that adjusting to life as a first time mom can get a little nuts. I spent my entire life not wanting anything to do with kids. I thought they were weird and creepy. Not really very maternal.
It’s amazing how much your life can change when you aren’t really expecting it. That just makes preparing for it even more difficult.
Thankfully, I’m a bit of a research junkie so I looked up EVERYTHING! That can be both good and bad. I do NOT suggest Googling all of your symptoms. You’ll just leave convinced you’re dying. You aren’t, you’re just building a baby.
So in an effort to keep you from going as crazy on the research train as I did, I’ve put together some tips and tricks that might make your 9 months just a little bit easier.
While knowing what to do when you first get pregnant and knowing what questions you need to ask on your hospital tour are always beneficial, I’ve really tried to go one step further and include some valuable information to help your partner prepare for childbirth.
It takes two to make a baby and it takes two to raise one. Your partner needs to know what to expect during pregnancy too.
So grab a glass of water (sorry, no wine yet), get comfy, and try to relax as you go through your journey to motherhood. It really isn’t as bad as it seems.
And if you haven’t already, stop by the Facebook group and say hello. I’d love to know how you’re handling your pregnancy.
Until next time!
Mallory
