I am the mom and I am the BOSS!
Being a mom is an amazing thing. It’s also completely exhausting at times.
Being a mom doesn’t just affect your relationship with your new baby, it also affects your relationship with your spouse and your relationship with yourself.
It’s very easy to get wrapped up in all of that new baby goodness, that we forget that we are a woman first and a mom second. Being a mom does not define who we are in life. It is merely one new hat to wear.
I really struggled to maintain the balance between being a mom, a wife, and a woman. I didn’t take the time to for self-care like I should have. And I spent too much time worrying about my baby instead of making sure that I was protecting my marriage.
You can’t take care of everyone else if you don’t first take care of yourself. Being a mom for the first time is a huge adjustment and not one to take lightly.
Though the journey through motherhood is hard, it is completely worth it.
You are also not alone in this journey. Stop by the Facebook group and tell us how things are going. The good, the bad, and the ugly. I really want to know.
Until then, I hope these posts are helpful for you.
Until next time!
